CHAI’BA: India Meets Bali

An Unforgettable Dining Experience

Every once in a blue moon, you come across a dining experience that leaves you speechless. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a moment to savor. Chai’Ba Street Kitchen and Bar is one of those experiences. We didn’t expect to enjoy the best Indian food of our lives on a small island in Indonesia, and it caught us off guard. For a restaurant that opened just 9 months ago, they are receiving well-deserved attention.

Authentic Indian Cuisine

Chai’Ba brings authentic Indian street food and fusion dishes together, catering to a wide range of palates. The extensive menu features North and South Asian dishes prepared simply with olive oil, organic sea salt, and fresh spices. The Thali changes daily, as the kitchen staff visits the market around 2 AM to select the freshest ingredients. Everything is made from scratch and infused with love, including their house-made paneer.

With so many vegetarian and vegan options, we didn’t know where to start! We began with a refreshing smoothie called The Pump, a creamy coconut concoction, and the Pumpkin Zoodle Salad, a unique dish made with zucchini noodles that was fresh and delicious. We also ordered Samosas, one of my favorite Indian classics, and they blew us away!

The Main Course: A Culinary Delight

For our main dishes, we had a hard time narrowing it down, but having numerous vegetarian and vegan options is a welcome change. We had to try the Vegetarian Thali, which was exceptional. There were dishes on the Thali that I had never tried before. The natural smokiness of the Vegetable Skewers from their clay oven was unbelievable. The flavors of the Aloo Gobi and Baigan Barta were perfection. The food’s flavor speaks for itself; it’s something you have to experience to truly understand

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to thank Chef Kuldeep Singh for creating an unforgettable meal for us and the owner for inviting us to experience the magic of Chai’Ba. We can’t wait to return to Bali and see the exciting future that lies ahead for this remarkable restaurant.
